Diplomacy is one of the means that opens the way to important cooperation between countries. It is in this dynamic that he granted an audience to a Brazilian delegation led by the Chargé d'Affaires of the Brazilian Embassy in Côte d'Ivoire, during the stopover of the Brazilian warship "ARAGUARI P122". This reception by the illustrious Brazilian delegation highlights a draft maritime and commercial cooperation agreement currently being finalized between the Port of Abidjan and the Port of Santos, the main Brazilian port and one of the most important in Latin America.

The stopover of the ARAGUARI P122 at the port of Abidjan is part of a well-established tradition of Brazilian military visits in Côte d'Ivoire, focused on security in the Gulf of Guinea. This naval presence testifies to the growing security dimension of bilateral cooperation which now covers the port, maritime, commercial and military fields.
