PAA-SEMPA: a constructive dialogue for efficient port handling
The Director General of the Autonomous Port of Abidjan (PAA), Kassoum Traoré, received in audience, on June 18, 2026, a delegation from the Union of Handling Companies of the Ports of Abidjan and San Pedro (SEMPA), led by its President, Asta-Rosa Cissé. This meeting is part of the permanent consultation policy that the PAA maintains with all stakeholders in the Abidjan Port Community (CPA). The discussions focused on ways to strengthen the competitiveness, efficiency and quality of handling services on the Abidjan port platform. The PAA CEO praised the decisive contribution of SEMPA member companies to the development of port activities, highlighting their key role in the fluidity of ship loading and unloading operations. This regular consultation between the PAA and its operational partners reflects a shared vision, making the Port of Abidjan a benchmark logistics hub in West Africa.
