Placed under the supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Agency for the Development of the Rice Sector (ADERIZ) has brought together its monitoring-evaluation specialists around a common roadmap. The workshop had four main objectives, namely to harmonize monitoring-evaluation tools and practices, validate key performance indicators, strengthen coordination between projects and define a shared trajectory for the months to come.

The work allowed participants to exchange their field experiences, adopt common methodological approaches and strengthen the monitoring systems for rice development projects across the country. This approach is part of a context where Côte d'Ivoire aims to increase its irrigated area from 55,000 to 100,000 hectares, with 402 processing plants already operational.

By providing its teams with standardized tools, ADERIZ intends to measure the impact of its interventions more effectively. The Ivorian rice sector, which has seen its mechanization rate increase from 4% to 18% in recent years, needs structured monitoring to consolidate these gains and accelerate progress towards national food independence.
