It is in the excitement of the Annual Meetings of the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group in Brazzaville that the Minister of Planning and Development, Dr. Souleymane Diarrassouba, received Patricia Pena, Temporary Alternate Governor of the ADB and Minister Delegate for the Partnerships and Programs Sector international assistance from Canada. The audience made it possible to reaffirm the solidity of Ivorian-Canadian relations, anchored in long-standing institutional cooperation.

Dr. Diarrassouba presented the new national planning cycle, developed according to the vision of the Head of State H.E Alassane OUATTARA. With an investment program of 114,838.5 billion FCFA, 70.2% of which is expected from the private sector and financial markets, the PND 2026-2030 is structured around six pillars covering infrastructure, industrialization, economic diversification and national cohesion.

For her part, the Minister Pena highlighted the growing interest of the Canadian private sector in Ivorian development programs, a strong signal of changing cooperation. Canada reaffirmed its willingness to support the financing of the PND 2026-2030, going beyond traditional institutional cooperation.

Thus, the Minister of Planning and Development invited the Canadian delegation to the Consultative Group of technical and financial partners, scheduled for July 8 and 9, 2026 in Abidjan, a highlight of the international mobilization around the PND.
