Baku has been the scene of remarkable progress for technical education in Côte d'Ivoire. Indeed, Dr. Souleymane Diarrassouba, Minister of Planning and Development, signed a complementary financing agreement with the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KDEA), during the 51st Annual Meetings of the Islamic Development Bank Group (IDB). By signing this additional financing agreement with the FKDEA, Dr Souleymane Diarrassouba, concretizes a strong commitment of the Ivorian State in favor of qualifying professional training in the center-west of the country.

This additional financing of nearly 4 billion FCFA brings the total contribution of the FKDEA to this project to around 14 billion FCFA. It is part of a structuring and long-standing partnership between Ivory Coast and this Arab financial institution, whose overall portfolio in the country is close to 80 billion FCFA, testifying to robust and diversified bilateral cooperation.

Once completed and equipped, the Daloa vocational high school will train qualified technicians in strategic sectors such as engineering civil, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering and agri-food. These specialties respond directly to the needs of the local and national productive sectors, thus strengthening the match between training and the labor market.

This agreement illustrates the government's desire to anchor its development in a logic of human capital, by providing young people from the interior regions with concrete tools to integrate the formal economy and contribute to the structural transformation of the country.
